Secretary of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Fadil Mirani, requested economical and military assistance from European Union member states, during a meeting with a delegation from E.U consuls, in Kurdistan. Mirani explained the current political and military situation of Kurdistan - in reference to the financial crisis and the war with the terrorist organisation, ISIS.
Mirani stressed the urgency needed for the Kurdistan Regional Government to produce a solution during the visit of Prime Minster Nechervan to Baghdad.
Speaking on the internal crisis, Mirani upheld the KDP's position of ensuring safety for citizens regarding the talks with the Change Movement. Pointing towards previous attempts by President Barzani and the Kurdish leadership to resolve this crisis.
The head of the EU delegation praised the courage of the Peshmerga on behalf of the EU.
The meeting was also attended by members of the Political Bureau: Mahmoud Mohammed and Ramzi Shaban.
